Beyoncé challenges fake baby rumours

Beyoncé Knowles has fired back at internet rumours that she is not really pregnant.
The 30-year-old pop superstar addressed claims that her baby bump is fake which had spread like wildfire two months ago after an interview on Australian television.
It was claimed that when the star sat down for the on camera chat, it looked like her bump deflated as if it was a prosthetic.
But Beyoncé laughed off the stories while filming one of her music promos back in September in a clip that has been uploaded onto YouTube.
Holding up a copy of New York Daily News, the singer who is expecting her first baby with rapper husband Jay-Z, made it clear that the reports were ridiculous and proudly showed off her growing belly.
'Hello, it is September 23. Oh baby, oh baby, oh baby, oh baby,' Beyoncé said while rubbing her bump.
'This was on the cover of the Daily News. Right now I'm actually shooting the video for Countdown and I'm six months pregnant. pretending that my stomach is flat in body suits.
'Thank god you can't tell from the front, but when I turn to the side, oh baby, oh baby.'
Beyoncé seemed to have a sense of humour about it and laughed about the reports. Her revelation that she was six months pregnant back then makes her further along in her pregnancy than was previously reported.

Guy Ritchie: Madonna marriage was a soap opera

Guy Ritchie has opened up about his marriage to Madonna and claimed it was drama filled.
The British director and the pop star ended their eight-year union in 2008 and have both moved on with their lives.
But Guy has told the December/January issue of Details magazine that life with the Material Girl had its benefits but was not always a bed of roses.
'I enjoyed my first marriage. It's definitely not something I regret,' he said. 'The experience was ultimately very positive. I love the kids that came out of it, and I could see no other route to take.'
'But you move on, don't you? You're right, I stepped into a soap opera, and I lived in it for quite a long period of my life. I'll probably be more eloquent on it 10 years from now.'
'When you end up with a lot of things that you set out to chase and find that you stumbled into all sorts of hollow victories, then you become deeply philosophical.
'I'm quite happy that that experience was accelerated for me. I''m glad I made money, in other words. And I'm glad I got married.'
The Sherlock Holmes director, 43, has a biological child with Madonna, son Rocco, 11, as well as adopted son David, five.
He also welcomed a baby boy in September of this year with girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley.
But Guy says that although he is a doting father, he is not willing to dish out parenting tips to anyone.
'I'm f**king glad no one gave me too much advice,' he said. 'You've got to work it out for yourself.'
'And I am anti people putting so much pressure on kids and robbing their childhood by giving them so much homework. I think if kids want to arse around, then they should.'

Quick quips: Ace Frehley, Michael Jackson, Sonic Youth, Elvis Costello, John Prine, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Ace Frehley has been forced to cancel his upcoming U.K. tour after falling in his home on Sunday and breaking his left wrist. He has been told by doctors not to play for at least ten days.

Dr. Conrad Murray returns to court tomorrow (Tuesday) to receive his sentence in the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. Even if he gets the maximum four-year sentence requested by the prosecution, he would serve, at most, two years due to California prison overcrowding.

Rolling Stone spoke with Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth, who will release his first solo album in March, and they broached the subject of the future of the band now that Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon are getting divorced.
I'm feeling optimistic about the future no matter what happens at this point. I mean, every band runs its course. We've been together way longer than any of us ever imagined would happen and it's been for the most part an incredibly pleasurable ride. There's still a lot of stuff we're going to continue to do. There's tons and tons of archival projects and things like that that are still going on, so there are so many ways in which we are tied to each other for the future both musically and in other ways. I'm just happy right now to let the future take its course and I guess I'm kind of thankful that I've got this other project that kind of came about on its own.

Ross MacManus, the father of Elvis Costello, passed away last Thursday at the age of 84. He was a trumpeter and vocalist in a number of popular bands and orchestras in the U.K., including a long stint with the Joe Loss Orchestra.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced that they will announce their inductees for 2012 on December 15 at 10:30 AM. The nominees are the Beastie Boys, the Cure, Donovan, Eric B. & Rakim, Guns N' Roses, Heart, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Freddie King, Laura Nyro, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rufus with Chaka Khan, The Small Faces/Faces, the Spinners, Donna Summer and War.

John Prine's latest album, The Mailman Delivers, contains tapes of sessions and performances from before his 1971 debut on Atlantic. He told Spinner he had no idea the tapes still existed until his wife made him clean out boxes in the garage.
I only found this stuff because my wife made me, totally against all objections I had. It took me a month and a half to clean my garage out when I moved from our last house to this one. I had to sit there every day and go through boxes from three marriages. I just never bothered to unpack a lot of it, unless I had any appliances or clothes [laughs] Anything else my ex-wives boxed up for me I never unpacked. I had to sit there and go through each thing to see if it was worth saving. My wife had rented a dumpster for me and I sat there each day, cursing, going through each box. These tapes came out of having to clean the garage. My wife doesn't want to hear it from me when she has a chore for me.

Florence And The Machine Cover Drake's 'Take Care' 'I hope we can do it justice,' Florence Welch says of her version of Drake's song, taped at BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.

Perhaps it was inevitable, given the mutual admiration Drake and Florence Welch share, but last week, while the majority of you were overcoming turkey comas, Flo (and the Machine) appeared on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, where they turned in a stunning cover of Drizzy's "Take Care." It's three of my absolute favorite artists," Welch said while introducing the track, referencing the fact that the song features vocals by not only Drake and Rihanna, but samples of Jamie XX's remix of Gil Scott-Heron's "I'll Take Care of You." "I hope we can do it justice."
And they did. Backed by a stirring string section, Florence and the Machine's version of the song isn't as dark and knotty as Drake's original; instead, it's ethereal and downright doleful, starting slow and sleepy but building to a towering crescendo, with Welch lamenting that she's "loved and lost" while drums pound, keyboards pulse and the strings trill. It's the kind of aching cover that leaves you wishing the two could actually collaborate on a record, something that, in recent months, seemed a definite possibility.
In the lead-up to the release of both Florence and the Machine's Ceremonials and Drake's Take Care, speculation swirled that the artists might make appearances on each other's albums — especially since Welch had previously joined Drake onstage in London to sing vocals on "Fireworks." But, as Welch told MTV News last month, they've yet to actually record anything together, thanks in no small part to their busy schedules. Then again, the door isn't completely closed on a collaboration just yet.
"We haven't actually done any recording together," Welch said. "Whenever I see Drake, we always just end up kind of hanging out, which is equally fun. ... I think we're both big fans of each other's work. If we would have the time, it is something I would definitely like to do, but we're both really busy."

Rihanna Raises A Glass To Fans In 'Cheers' Video Avril Lavigne cameos in montage of celebrations off- and onstage.

Summer is coming to a close, but it looks like Rihanna is going to keep the party going for a little longer. On Friday (August 26), the pop force debuted the video for her celebratory tune "Cheers (Drink to That)," a behind-the-scenes concert montage with brief cameo appearances by Avril Lavigne, Jay-Z and Kanye West.
Chanting fans kick off the almost-five minute clip, which cuts between candid footage of the songstress backstage before and after her shows, and enjoying the festivities during her recent trip to Barbados. Rocking some denim blue shorts, a colorful cropped top and sunglasses, Rihanna also gives fans a glimpse of her performance of the tune during her Loud tour set. "Cheers (Drink to That)" samples Avril Lavigne's yodel from her 2002 hit "I'm With You," so it's only appropriate that the visual includes sporadic blink-of-the-eye appearances from the pop rocker horsing around by the pool.
"It was really exciting because 'I'm With You' is one of my favorite songs that I've done, I always love performing it," Lavigne said last year of being sampled on "Cheers."
"Cheers to the freaking weekend/ I drink to that, yeah yeah/ Oh, let the Jameson sink in/ I drink to that, yeah yeah/ Don't let the bastards get you down/ Turn it around with another round/ There's a party at the bar everybody put your glasses up and I drink to that," Rihanna sings, almost casually, as she's seen toasting fans and friends onstage and in bars.
Hours after the debut, Rih took to Twitter to ask fans what they thought about the clip, writing, "CHEERS... U like??? #drinktothat #RihannaNavy I love yall forever!!!!! Keep making me proud!"
The Rihanna Navy has been pushing for the singer to release "Cheers (Drink to That)" since the LP's release, and there's no denying that the Barbados beauty also has love for the song. "I love that song ['Cheers']. That is one of my favorite songs on the album. It makes you feel like celebrating," Rihanna told MTV News last year. "It gives you a great feeling inside, like you want to go out and have a drink. ... People can't wait for the weekend."
